YS Jagan Decision over Skill Development - Sakshi Post

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to set up special universities for skill development in the state, which will include 25 colleges especially for the purpose of skill development among the youth in the state.

While addressing at a review meeting over skill development program on Friday, October 25, YS Jagan directed officials to train students with all advanced technologies. The CM said it is the responsibility of the universities to train the students and equip them with the knowledge needed to update with the latest advanced technologies.

He directed officials to plan the changes and additions to the curriculum within a month.

YS Jagan, who aims to fulfill his father's dream to see educated persons in each family instructed the officers that all AP students should get successfully placed in jobs after graduation. For the purpose, students of all courses including IIT, Polytechnic, B.Com and engineering students should do apprenticeship for one more year. He made it clear that the trainers should be ready to inculcate more expertise if students still need training even after completing an apprentice for one year.

The YSRCP President also suggested officials to conduct exams after the completion of the apprenticeship.

The finance department under Buggana Rajendranath will be handed over the responsibility to use the funds for the skill development programme.

YS Jagan also stressed the need for changing the entire Andhra Pradesh employment process, adding that skill-wise human resource mapping should be taken care of by village secretaries.

The AP CM also instructed officials to develop an app to utilize their services locally. He signed off the meeting asking officials to hand the blueprint of the plan to him within a month.
