Nellore: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to launch the flagship 'Rythu Bharosa' scheme at Kakaturu ,in Nellore district today. The Chief Minister has reached Renigunta airport and will travel to Kakatur by road.

YSR Rythu Bharosa is a welfare scheme and one of the nine major promises (Navaratnalu ), made by the ruling YSR Congress Party in its manifesto.Under this scheme financial assistance will be provided to the farmers of the state.

The government has decided to increase the amount of 'Rythu Bharosa' scheme from Rs 12,500 to Rs 13,500 annually and implement it for five years instead of the promised four years.

The government has also decided to extend the scheme from four years to five years. On Sunday, the government issued a GO releasing Rs 5,510 crore as part of the budgetary allocation for the scheme by the government.
