YS Jagan Holds A Review Meeting With Urban Development Officers

Amravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a review meeting with municipal and urban development departments on Friday 27th September.

Many higher officials along with Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Botsa Satyanarayana attended the meeting.

YS Jagan discussed the infrastructure planning in cities and municipalities with urban development officers in AP. The AP CM also discussed Drinking water, underground drainage system, waste disposal, wastewater treatment with municipal officers.

AP CM instructs all the officers to provide the environment and make the best infrastructure available to all the people across the state.

YS Jagan reviewed the present status of the ongoing projects and inquired about the new projects to be undertaken, he also enquired about the development of municipal schools.

YS Jagan ordered municipal officers to provide underground drainage facility to every municipality. He also added that equipment be implemented to purify the wastewater.

The YSRCP President said that all the municipal officers should work hard to develop a solid waste management scheme. He instructed them to prepare activities for each municipality to ensure that all of these facilities are provided to each municipality without fail. He advised the municipal officers to take proper care to see that drinking water pipelines shouldn't come in contact with drainage lines.

The CM expressed his anger on municipal officers over the improper collections of wastage from the cities and towns and orders them to take proper action over that. YS Jagan advised the officers to make complete use of the ward and village secretariat system.

YS Jagan said that village secretariat officers should focus on all the problems like drinking water, drainage, houses, current, ration card, pension, healthcare...etc which is related to the people. The officers should properly address all the people problems and look for the immediate solution to the problem.

YS Jagan instructs the officers to take steps for turning Tadepalli and Mangalagiri as ideal Municipalities. He discussed the proposals for groundwater drainage system, drinking water facilities and road development and he even inquired about existing facilities and amenities of Tadepalli.

YS Jagan orders the officers to speed up the process of distributing homes to homeless in Tadepalli. He mandates officers to give at least 15 thousand houses in Tadepalli and directs authorities to prepare minimum infrastructure at building complexes. He orders the officers to complete the process of house distribution by Ugadi.

He even directs the officers to submit proposals for a 100-bed hospital in Tadepalli Municipality.

YSRCP president held a long discussion at the meeting on the construction of houses for those staying on the Krishna River bed, he instructed the officers to grant homes to them. YS Jagan Ordered the officers to construct a house for them with at least an increase of 2 cents more land than that was given in the past government led by former CM Chandrababu Naidu.CM ordered officers to build houses in the area of their choice. He ordered the officers to ensure that the poor and the common people are safeguarded by the implementation of environmental protection and river laws.

YS Jagan gives a deadline to the officers to construct and distribute the lands to all the eligible candidates by Ugadi. Even asked the officers to provide land documents to those who are residing in the government lands for a long period of time. Officers should take proper care to prevent pollution in the Buckingham Canal by planting saplings near the canal. He warned the officers against bribery and said that the government can only turn municipalities into ideal municipalities by providing good facilities to the poor.
