YS Jagan Includes Stage 3 Kidney Patients under Pension Scheme

Palasa/Srikakulam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that Stage-3 patients suffering from kidney diseases, would also be covered in the pension scheme henceforth. He made this promise while speaking at a ceremony after laying the foundation stone for the 200-bed Super Speciality and Research Hospital, in Palasa, Srikakulam district on Friday.

He said that along with the Stage -5 kidney patients who were getting Rs 10,000 pension amount, Stage -3 patients would get Rs 3,000, he said. In addition to this Health Workers would be appointed to support patients undergoing dialysis. Patients and health workers would be given bus passes to travel to the hospital.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had earlier promised to build a super speciality hospital, specially for the people of Uddanam mandal who were suffering from Kidney diseases during the Praja Sankalpa Yatra. He had given orders to build the hospital which would also have a Research and Dialysis centre attached to it.

Today also marked 100 days of Governance by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and on this occasion he thanked the people of Andhra Pradesh for blessing him and the party which won 151 seats in the Assembly elections.

He said that he was very happy to implement all the schemes enumerated in the Manifesto, and told the people that the first file he signed when he took charge was the sanction of RS 10,000 for kidney patients.

He also said that a water system to supply safe and clean drinking water to the people of Uddanam was getting ready and also water would be directly supplied to all the villages in Ichhapuram.

Talking about the relief amount to be disbursed to the Titli Cyclone victims, YS Jagan said that they have enhanced the amount from Rs 1500 to Rs 3000 and the amount would be given in the form of cheques.

Compensation for cashew nut farmers has increased from Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 per hectare, he said.

YS Jagan also remarked that as promised to the fisherman during his Padayatra, he would be setting up fishing jetties which would be inaugurated today at Manchineelapeta and Nuvvalarevupeta. A facility to build jetties would also be set up along with other facilities, like a hall, cold storage, bathrooms, and a market yard, he said.

In another promise, YS Jagan said that RS 10,000 would be given to the fisherman who had boats and fishing vessels on Word Fisheries Day.
