Dallas: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday called for the Telugu diaspora settled in the US to come forward, invest in the state, and promote industrial development. YS Jagan, who is on a maiden tour of the US after winning the elections, addressed a massive gathering of NRIs from Andhra Pradesh ,at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. Addressing the Telugu Non-Resident Indian community, he made a strong pitch for them to come forward and invest in the welfare, development, and growth of Andhra Pradesh. Laying emphasis on the economic growth of the state, he said that 'we are laying a red carpet for industrial development" and called for the expatriate Indians to pitch in.
The AP chief minister sought investments from them asserting the state offers political stability, robust infrastructure, and transparency in policy implementation and governance. The YSRCP government was committed to providing a conducive environment under one single body for investment, he said. YS Jagan urged the Telugu NRIs to contribute for the development of their villages. He said that the government was a people-friendly one and promised to be of support to everyone who would work for the development of the state. Speaking further, he acknowledged the Telugu community's support in the recently concluded elections and thanked them for it. He said winning 151 MLA seats and 22 MP seats was truly phenomenal which was also a result of their hard work, he said.

YS Jagan thanked them for their continuous love and support to him and his family, which continued even after his father late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's demise. He hailed the achievements of the Telugu community in America, who were more than four lakhs in number among the Indian diaspora. Their role in developing the US economy and IT sector was even hailed by the US President himself, which was a matter of great pride for him.
He spoke at length about the Navaratnalu and the YSRCP Manifesto and what the Government was doing to promulgate the various welfare schemes endorsed in it.The State government was in the process of bringing changes in governance and establish a transparent and corruption-free system.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he was trying to work with integrity and that the Government was as much as theirs as it was for the AP people. He urged them to come with their families, visit the state at least once a year, and see the development of villages. The Government would support them if the NRIs wanted to see their home towns and the schools that they studied in, develop. YS Jagan sought their blessings and said that he would always be with them as a brother and thanked them and concluded the speech, which received a roaring ovation at the Convention Center.
