Amaravati: Veteran journalist and The Hindu Group chairman N Ram called on Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy here on Tuesday as a courtesy call to congratulate the latter over his recent stunning victory in Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister explained to Ram about various development programmes being taken up by his government for uplifting poor and marginalised. He particularly drew Ram's attention to Amma Vodi and Rythu Bharosa initiatives. Ram said he was impressed by Amma Vodi programme of the YSRCP government.

Ram also recounted his association with the former chief minister and YS Jagan's father Dr YS Rajashekara Reddy and presented a memento to YS Jagan.
