Speaking to the media after offering prayers at the temple, he thanked Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for providing him with the fortune to serve the devotees. After the YSRCP won the recent Assembly polls, 11 members of the TTD Board, including its chairman, quit their post. Apart from the three ex-officio members, only three members remained on the board.

TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal submitted a report to the government stating that the quorum for holding a Board meeting was five as per the Section 126 of Act 30, 1987.

Keeping in view the few members on the Board, the executive officer in a letter requested the government to take action to ensure the smooth running of the TTD administration.

Based on the letter, the government has issued a decree, completely abolishing the old governing council, in order to create a full-fledged new governing body and issued an order appointing Subba Reddy as its chairman.
