1. Kurnool Cold Storage Fire Causes 3 Crores Loss

A massive fire broke out in cold storage and godown in the district on Tuesday. There were no casualties or any injuries reported in the incident but the infrastructure and agriculture produce were gutted at the cold storage. According to the fire department officials, the property loss has been estimated to around Rs 3 crore. A case was registered and the police are investigating further.

3. Duo Held for stealing gold from elderly

Palakollu Rural police arrested Kudipudi Yogendra Babu and K. Durga Prasad of Vankatallacheruvu village in Achanta mandal of West Godavari on charges of stealing gold ornaments from elderly women. The two brothers are involved in 36 such incidents in both East and West Godavari districts.

4. Nellore Woman Trafficked To Bahrain For Sex Slavery In Guise Of Housemaid Rescued

Although taken to Bahrain to work as a household maid, a 39-year-old Andhra Pradesh native has narrated her story saying she was made a sex slave. The woman is a resident of Nellore and has two daughters and a son and somehow managed to reach the Indian Embassy in Bahrain and urged them to help her. Responding to her request, the embassy informed that she has been provided with an emergency passport but her request for ticket was under scanner as she had not yet provided any necessary details about her agents.

5. Cancer Patient In Vishakapatnam Kills Son, Hangs Herself

38-year-old woman suffering from blood cancer killed her 12-year-old son and then committed suicide in her home at HB Colony under New Port Police Station limits in Vizag on Tuesday. The victims were identified as Jayanti Naga Mallika and J. Kaushik. Naga Mallika’s husband Sri Rama Sastri had gone out for some chores and returned home after their daughter left for college. According to police, Jayanti was suffering from blood cancer and was depressed after her health deteriorated.
