Tirumala: The residents and shopkeepers of Tirumala have launched an agitation against the TTD temple authorities in demand to settle their issues. The locals have entered the third day of agitation on Thursday and staged a protest in front of the TTD Administrative Building.
They further warned a complete shutdown of Tirumala and intensify their protest if TTD and the government failed to respond on the issue by February 1. YSRCP has extended full support for their agitation.
The locals and traders demanded TTD to provide proper written assurances regarding resolution of their issues including
Infrastructure for locals living in the RB centre in Balaji Nagar.
The tariffs should be constructed and regulatory.
Fixed rent for all areas of shops.
Justice should be provided to Papavinasanam merchants.
Trade licenses given 10 years back should allowed to continue.
A separate line should be allotted at Alipiri toll gate.
Shopping centres and subways should be moved to business areas.
Thirumala Nirvatsiyatu should be good.
Hotels should be allocated to locals rather than private individuals.
Identity cards should be given to locals in Tirumala.
