APSRTC Bus Ticket Will Cost More

The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has hiked the ticket fares of all the bus services which came into effect from Friday.

According to a note issued by APSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director NV Surendra Babu, the ticket prices were hiked by Rs 4 for all the services except for Palle Velugu. The decision was taken to avoid issues related to smal; change in buses and most of the fares have been now changed to the denominations of five. Meanwhile, the release also said that Vennela service fare will be rounded off to denominations of 10.

As per the new hike, the express service fare from Vijayawada to Eluru has been increased to 70 from 66 while the new express fare from Vijayawada to Guntur is 40.
