HYDERABAD: In a big blow to Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party (JSP), politburo member and a close aide of the actor politician, Raju Raviteja resigned from the party on Saturday. In a statement, Raju Raviteja alleged that Pawan Kalyan had turned into a ‘’dangerous divisive force driven by vindictiveness, case and religious hatred. " He should never be allowed to occupy the office of political or social power." he wrote.

Raviteja said in a press note "I will not have a connection with the Jana Sena Party and Pawan Kalyan. I am the first general secretary of the party and played a crucial role in creating the Ism and constitution of the Party ." "Currently. I am a member of the party politburo. I accepted this despite my will only for the sake of Pawan Kalyan." he added.

Interestingly within few hours of his resignation, Pawan Kalyan accepted it and in a carefully worded statement said that the party accepted his resignation , and that he had earlier left the party and rejoined with similar concerns and wished him well.
