Narasaraopet: A close aide of former Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao was taken into custody by Narasaraopet police on Friday.

Guttha Nagaprasad, was instrumental in forcibly collecting K-taxes from different sections of people in Sattenapalli, Narasaraopet and Guntur constituencies.

He was at large when people started filing cases in different police stations on him. He was also accused in cases related to Kodela Siva Prasad Rao and also his son Kodela Sivaram. After the change of government, victims started pursuing the cases filed on Guttha Nagaprasad. Kodela Sivram along with Nagaprasad went underground from last three months. Sivaram used Nagaprasad as his benami, after allegedly encroaching hundreds of acres of land in Guntur, Sattenapalli and Narasaraopet.
