Amaravati: Turning the tables sharply, YSRCP has said that Chandrababu Naidu was responsible for the suicide of former Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao as he was humiliated on many counts and brushed aside the remarks that the state had any role in the episode.

It was Chandrababu Naidu who had humiliated the former Speaker by not giving him due respect in the Party, encouraging rival groups in party activities and not responding to his phone calls which have driven him to the extreme step, which normally is taken when they are spurned people who are very close to the victim. If the call data of his cell phone is taken out, the reason for his death will come to light.

Speaking to reporters at separate press conferences State Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Nani, Chief Whip G Srikanth Reddy, PAC member, MLA Ambati Rambabu said, ‘ Chandrababu Naidu went into hiding immediately after hearing the news and surfaced only after it was clear that there was no suicide note (dying declaration) and his name was not included in it.

Once the air was clear, he started playing with sentiments and whipping up passions blaming the state and has been carrying out sustained campaign against the government leveling false and baseless allegations by pumping in the same data through dedicated media and a handful of spokespersons.

Chandrababu Naidu who had organized a camp for YSRCP victims of Palanadu did not include Kodela Prasada Rao in it which makes it clear that the question of victimization does not arise. If Kodela was haunted, as claimed by TDP, then why he was not there in the Chalo Atmakuru camp, they asked.

He was never given his due place in the Party events and to make it clear, Chandrababu Naidu did not meet Kodela Siva Prasada Rao in the hospital where he was being treated after a failed suicide attempt recently. Rubbing salt to the injury was that Chandrababu Naidu came to the same town to address a meeting.

After losing 2019 election, Chandrababu did not meet Kodela even once and was encouraging and promoting another group which must have surely hurt the ageing TDP leader, they said.

It was Chandrababu Naidu who gave Kodela sleepless nights by insulting him and rejecting him. He had done it NTR and to Nandamuri Harikrishna in past.

Chandrababu had distanced him from Party meetings and insulted him, he said. "Was it not Chandrababu who filed cases against Kodela during the bomb-blast case in 1999?' had he not denied the Narsaraopet Assembly Seat and sent him to Sattenapalli despite knowing that it was his home turf ?'', he questioned.

The difference between TDP and YSRCP was seen by one and all in the first Collectors’ Conference of the two governments. Chadrababu Naidu said that the Party Workers and leaders should be given prominence in all the activities signaling his line of approach while YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said not to show any discrimination and do not tolerate corrupt practices, they said.

Government property, including furniture was taken away from the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly by the Speaker and was shifted it to his son’s business place. Builders and Contractors have filed complaints with police about the corruption of Kodela and his family members based on which cases were registered.

The former Speaker, who confessed that he shifted Assembly furniture to his personal place, later issued a letter asking the officials to take back the material. It is not the value of the furniture but the intent and the arrogance that has drawn the public attention, they said.
