Chandrababu’s Political Agenda Puts TDP In A Spot

TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu - Sakshi Post

Guntur: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief N Chandrababu Naidu call for 'Chalo Atmakur' rally has created panic among the people of Narsaraopeta, Vinukonda, Sathenapalli, Chilakuripeta in the Palnadu region of Guntur district. Despite the locals stating that there are no issues and things were peaceful in the region, TDP leaders were deliberately creating a conspiracy of sorts to create tension and called for the unwarranted rally. Ahead of the rally,Section 144 has been imposed in the region with prohibitory orders in place to prevent people from holding public meetings or rallies, as stated by State DGP Gautam Sawang.

Meanwhile DSP Hari said that the law and order situation in Atmakur was in control. Clarifying further he said that the issues in the past were due to internal fighting among SC community belonging to a particular family. He also mentioned that there was no political links with this family. With the police statement , the TDP cadre who were supposed to be 'rehabilitated' by Chandrababu are slowly beating a retreat to their villages.

They were also expressing their ire against the TDP leaders for using their issue for political mileage. With the cadre leaving , this has sent the TDP leaders into a tizzy as to what should be the next course of action.

Palnadu region which was once a hotbed of illegal mining, land grabbing and the levying of the infamous K-tax, has now returned to normalcy after the YSR Congress Party came to power.

However, it is reported that the TDP leaders are making deliberate attempts to hamper normalcy in the region. It may be recollected that during the previous TDP regime, former speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Kodela Sivaprasad Rao's family, former TDP MLA Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao and GV Anjaneyulu indulged in factional politics and terrorised locals in the past five years. In protest against these leaders atrocities the YSRCP leaders conducted a press conference on Wednesday where the victims who suffered in the hands of the TDP leaders, came forward to tell their tales of woes.
