TDP Spreading Falsehood About Rice Distribution Project: Vijayasai Reddy

YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy, TDP MLC Nara Lokesh - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy criticized TDP MLC Nara Lokesh and his team for making false allegations that the subsidized rice supplied in Srikakulam was spoilt.

Taking to Twitter, Vijaysai Reddy lashed out at Nara Lokesh and other TDP leaders, for making false statements that the rice distributed under the door-delivery pilot project was substandard and spoilt due to water contamination.

He said that the TDP leaders were unable to fathom the fact Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had kept his promise and launched a pilot project in Srikakulam with the hope of providing quality rice to people. Calling them a band of 'Yellow Party Thieves', he said that they had launched their tirade just an hour after the launch of the program in Srikakulam district.

The Andhra Pradesh government, in order to distribute quality rice to poor people through village and ward volunteers, launched the program on an experimental basis in Srikakulam district on Friday. There were more than 8,60,727 white ration card holders in the district. Village and ward volunteers carried more than 70 percent of door-to door distribution of the rice bags on Saturday. More than 6,000 vehicles were used for this purpose. YS Jagan has announced that 100 per cent fine quality rice for white ration card holders would be distributed from April next year.
