Chandrababu Is Twisting My Words: Botsa

YSRCP senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana   - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh minister for municipal administration, Botsa Satyanarayana, told media persons here on Friday that he was shocked at the manner in which former chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu was deliberately distorting his statements on the capital city.

While addressing media persons at the party headquarters in Tadepalli on Friday, Botsa clarified that while he spoke about the subject of floods with reference to the capital, his words were taken completely out of context and presented in a different light by various media outlets. When the Centre asked the Andhra Pradesh government to take the Sivaramakrishnan committee into consideration, Chandrababu Naidu said that minister Narayana had factored the report.

Botsa reminded media persons that ten years ago, 11 lakh cu secs of flood water inundated Amaravati in a big way, whereas now TDP leaders are claiming that the capital region got flooded completely with 8 lakh cu secs in the recent floods. The minister said that it was Chandrababu, his benamis or proxies and other TDP leaders who acquired huge tracts of land around Amaravati.

Referring to flood-prone capitals like Chennai and Mumbai, Botsa said that these cities were built a long time ago. Had the planners visualised that they would be as vulnerable to floods as they turned out to be, they would probably not have been located there. The YSRCP government's objective is to develop all parts of the state, Botsa said.
