Vijayawada: Rajya Sabha MP Sujana Chowdary, who recently shifted allegiance to BJP, slammed TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu over his brand of politics.

Chowdary showed up in Vijayawada on Sunday for the first-time after snapping ties with TDP. Speaking at a BJP meeting here, he said that despite warning Chandrababu to refrain from holding Dharma Porata Deekshalu as it would have detrimental effect on the party's future, but he did not listen. "I couldn't speak against the TDP back then as I was following party's line."

The Rajya Sabha MP now wants to foray into electoral politics as he was so far been a member of Upper House, where elections were indirect. He lavished praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating that it was only Modi who proclaimed the greatness of Indian nation to the world, while others before him cowered before the world powers.

As regards Andhra Pradesh development, he said BJP policies were in that direction and added that he had joined BJP only to make it an alternate political force in the State to reckon with.
