New Delhi: Senior YSR Congress Party leader and Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy derided Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nara Lokesh for taking credit for the approval of the revised sanction amount for the Polavaram project by the Centre.

Nara Lokesh's earlier tweeted, as to where was the scope for any kind of corruption committed by the TDP with regards to the Polavaram project. The Central Water Resources department had acknowledged and approved the proposed estimate, which was revised to an amount of Rs 55,548 Crore by the TDP, he tweeted.

Reacting sharply to this tweet , Vijayasai Reddy reminded him that the revised estimate for the Polavaram projects was approved not because of his father's efforts or greatness but for the fact that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had personally met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and requested him to have the estimates approved. For which the Central government had given the green signal for the project estimates. It would be better if Lokesh stopped blowing his trumpet and reminded him that the TDP was yet to show accounts for the amount spent on the project so far.
