Undavalli: The second day seminar of district collectors conference chaired by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy began on Tuesday morning at Praja Vedika in Undavalli on Tuesday.
Speaking at the seminar, State Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita said that the aim of the government was to conduct administration in a transparent and impartial manner.
In order to increase the confidence of the underprivileged, the minority, and the public, towards police, the Government plans to conduct and organize the Praja Darbars in the villages.
To reduce the burden on the police official, weekly- offs have been provided to keep the task force stress free.
She also promised to curb crime against women and children which is on the rise the government plans to have mobile police teams to ensure their safety and also prevent such crimes.
We will fill the vacancies in the Police Department to reduce the unemployment problem, she said. She also spoke about conducting awareness programs among motorists to ensure that they follow rules and regulations.
With the rise in the number of accidents on roads and highways, the government and police plan to conduct awareness sessions among students and public.
There is an urgent need to set up awareness programs to help young people understand the negativity of drug abuse like Ganja and Gutka.
Students will also be counselled not to get into any kind of anti social activities and if they do so stringent action will be taken against them.
The government also plans to implement a ragging legislation in educational institutions to prevent ragging and bullying in schools and colleges. This will be done in tandem with the parents and management of colleges and educational institutions.
