Amaravati: The issue of 'Praja Vedika', a conference hall adjacent to former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu's house on the Krishna river front, has snowballed into major controversy. With TDP remaining hell-bent on occupying the structure even after the government's order to vacate it, it remains to be seen how this would play out in the days to come as government intends to hold the Collectors' conference in the same venue on June 24.

Against this backdrop, YSRCP general secretary V Vijayasai Reddy took to Twitter to slam Chandrababu for holding onto Praja Vedika despite the State government's repeated orders to vacate it.

"Praja Vedika is a facility built by using government funds. Chandrababu is using it for his party programmes. Despite losing elections, it is under illegal occupation. TDP leaders are dramatizing the situation when government is planning to hold Collectors' conference by saying that how someone can enter the house when Babu is away. This is shameful on TDP's part," he wrote on the micro blogging site.

Allegations are also rife against the current house in which Chandrababu Naidu is living. Several activists and environmentalists have been protesting that the house was built in complete violation of environment guidelines as the structure is proving detrimental to Krishna river.
