Amaravati: In what could be termed as a healthy camaraderie and bonhomie, TDP and YSRCP MLAs got to witness a very interesting sight just before the Andhra Assembly Sessions commenced on Day 5. As the MLAs were heading towards the assembly hall ,TDP leader and former IT Minister Nara Lokesh met the YSRCP MLA from Mangalagiri Alla Ramakrishna Reddy popularly known as RK. He came forward to greet the MLA and they both were seen smiling and exchanging pleasantries. It is said that Lokesh congratulated him over his victory in the recently conducted elections.
This is the first time that they both have met face-to-face, which sparked off interest amongst the onlookers.
It is known that the TDP pitted Nara Lokesh against incumbent YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, who won over Lokesh by a majority of over 5 thousand votes.
He has recently been appointed as Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (AP CRDA). The government issued orders appointing Ramakrishna Reddy as the Chairman of the AP CRDA. TDP Minister P Narayana was earlier holding this post. RK who was vehemently fighting for the rights of the famers in the capital region has been opposing the capital location in the area right from the beginning.
