New Delhi: Congress Rajya Sabha MP, KVP Ramachandra Rao wrote another open letter to TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu. He remarked that officials would never hinder good work from being done. Chandrababu is directing officials to clear bills of his handpicked coterie in the name of holding reviews, he added. KVP observed that as for officials, they will have to explain irregular or out of turn payments.
KVP pointed out that Chandrababu had opposed Pothireddypadu project at that time and led a protest. As for minister Devineni Uma, he staged a sit-in at Krishna Barrage, he commented. KVP asked whether Chandrababu had ever visited Polavaram project site before 2014. It was Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy who was responsible for getting all the requisite permissions for the project, he said.
KVP said in his letter that Polavaram suffered on account of Chandrababu. It was because of the TDP chief that an additional burden of Rs. 30,000 crore was imposed on the state exchequer, KVP added.
