Visakhapatnam: YSR Congress Party general secretary Dadi Veerabhadra Rao lashed out at the TDP government and the Visakhapatnam district collector on the matter of irregularities in postal ballots. He said that the district collector showed utter lack of responsibility in the matter.

The collector did not function as an election officer, he said, adding that over 4000 postal votes went missing. Dadi Veerabhadra Rao criticised the Visakhapatnam district collector stating that he functioned differently from other officers who are his counterparts elsewhere.

The YSRCP leader further said that if the collector continued to behave in this way, there would be problems in counting too. He sought details of postal ballots from the collector to be passed to all concerned, on a daily basis. Dadi Veerbhadra Rao also demanded that the counting process be done in a fair and transparent manner.
