TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu made the most uncivilised references to the founder of the Telugu Desam Party and legendary actor-turned-politician, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the iconic NTR. Ironically, Chandrababu is also NTR’s son-in-law.
A video that went viral, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is seen telling ABN-Andhra Jyothi chief Vemuri Radhakrishna that he would scrap the name of NTR from Arogyasri so that the welfare scheme does not have any association with him.
In a off the record conversation before a TV show, Chandrababu and Radhakrishna are seen discussing how NTR’s name should be removed from the healthcare initiative which was launched by Dr YSR and which is now being run in the name of NTR Arogyasri.
TDP fans, particularly those loyal to the memory of the late NTR are furious with Chandrababu’s backstabbing ways, it is learned.
They say that not only did he upstage NTR and grabbed the party, as also power from him but is now trying to wipe out all traces of his memory.
The disrespectful references used by Chandrababu Naidu prove that he uses the legendary actor and TDP founder’s name purely for his personal gains and further his political ends.
In the conversation recorded before show went live, Chandrababu Naidu is seen telling Radhakrishna that the scheme should be changed completely in six months. Arogyasri was changed to NTR Vaidya Bharosa during Chandrababu Naidu’s regime. And exchange between the two centers around deleting NTR’s name.
When Chandrababu said that he was planning to scrap NTR’s name Radhakrishna was quick to encourage him by saying “Remove it.”
