Adugaduguna Antharangam, A Book On YS Jagan’s Political Journey Released

Hyderabad: ‘Adugaduguna Antharangam’, a book depicting the politcal career of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy till the successful completion of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra was today released by the YSRCP President at his Lotus Pond residence.

The book written by senior journalist Pudi Sreehari takes you through the important milestone, twists and turns of the political career of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy right from the inception of the Party and wades through the waxing a waning moments of his political career.

Sreehari, who accompanied Jagan throughout the Praja Sankalpa Yatra and coordinated with media and other nuances throughout the 3,648 km from the first step at Idipulapaya till the culmination at Ichchapuram, had penned the 268-page book with clear objectivity. He took off from the Odarpu Yatra, the first mass contact programme after the introductory chapter on Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy and his good governance.

The turbulent years that followed due to vindictive politics and the steely resolve of Jagan were well established and the first litmus test of 2014 election finds a prominent place in the book. The close verdict, engineering of defections by TDP and other major issues were detailed in a fast paced diction.

The book reveals in detail little known details of YS Jagan’s daily routine and story behind the storyline.

Praja Sankalpa Yatra, form major part of the book which tells about the style of Jagan’s speech, the response, feedback, patient hearing of the plight of various sections across the state and how TDP has tried to play foul as is its wont.

The narrative takes you through the journey of Jagan, the highs and lows of the Yatra, the attack on Jagan at Vizag airport and the blame game that followed.

In the last lap the book covers the latest issues to the run-up to 2019 election with TDP getting into Congress fold, Pawan Kalyan factor and other development.

In the foreword, YSRCP Media Cell Chief, GVD Krishna Mohan said that the ‘walk the talk’ written by Sreehari has a telling effect on the state polity and reveals the driving force behind the walkathon and inspiring words that formed part of the Leader’s speeches.

Sakshi Editorial Director K Ramachandra Murthy recalled the history of Padayatras in the country and how this book is different by depicting the big picture of the Odyssey of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
