TDP All Out To Remove Lakshmi’s NTR From Tamil Nadu Theatres

Lakshmi’s NTR Poster - Sakshi Post

Chennai: Controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma's Lakshmi's NTR seems to have rattled the TDP leadership in a big way. Conspiracies are afoot to wind up the movie from Tamil theatres in a day or two, after a token release. The reason why the TDP is nervous about the impact of Lakshmi's NTR is because of the likely influence it could have on voters in Chittoor, Sri Pottisriramulu Nellore, Prakasam and YSR Kadapa districts who can travel to Chennai to see the film.

While 30-90 theatres have been screening the movie in various parts of the country, in Chennai, it was being screened only in 5 theatres. Barring one or two theatres, in others there was only one show at an inconvenient hour at that. Though the movie is running to packed houses, the number of shows is not being increased.

It is learnt that some prominent film industry personalities are trying to help Chandrababu in this indirect way.
