Praja Shanti Party President KA Paul has turned the entire election process into a farce subverting the democratic system in the most devious manner. It is largely believed that Paul is playing out his act as per Chandrababu Naidu's script all the way.
To begin with, the Praja Shanti Party's colors are very similar to those of YSR Congress Party. Moreover, it was allocated the symbol of the helicopter which could cause further confusion in the minds of the voters. In a fresh development, it is learnt that the names of the Praja Shanti Party candidates are likely to figure just below those of YSRCP to add to the confusion. Going one step further, under Chandrababu's direction, Paul has picked candidates with identical names as those of YSRCP candidates, including eight with the same name in constituencies of Anantapur districts.
Paul playing with names is a part of a strategy drawn up by Telugu Desam Party Chief Chandrababu Naidu. In eight constituencies, such instances came to light on the last date of filing nominations. For example, in Anantapur urban assembly constituency, an individual named Pagadi Venkatramo Reddy filed his nomination on behalf of PSP. In truth, he is a TDP leader and is also the district president of ration dealers association. This clearly establishes the link between the ruling TDP and KA Paul's outfit. Similarly in Guntur, KA Paul has fielded a Namboori Sankar Rao against YSRCP candidate for the Assembly constituency, Nambooru Sankar Rao.
In addition to these names K A Paul has invested sufficient time and money to find candidates with similar names and has fielded them in 38 Assembly constituencies where the YSRCP has fielded candidates.
