Anantapur Arts College Violates Model Code, Students Asked About TDP

Political Science Question Paper - Sakshi Post

Sri Krishna Devaraya University: Even while the Model Code for elections is in force and the Election Commission has warned of action against any violations, the Arts College in Anantapur has openly violated the Code.

As a college which enjoys autonomy under the UGC system, the college sets its own question papers for examinations. In the political science paper of the fourth semester for second year students held on Monday, the question that was asked of students was to write about the ruling Telugu Desam party. Students were shocked at the nature of the question. Their question to the authorities was, how could the college ask a question related to the ruling party? Students took to social media platforms after writing the examination, to post the question paper. Was it necessary for an autonomous College to behave so slavishly towards the ruling party? This is the question posed by netizens and students here. How can teachers set such questions aimed at influencing the students? This was the query posed by intelligentsia. The Arts College at Anantapur came in for severe criticism on this count.
