All Govt Vacancies Will Be Filled Up As Soon As YSRCP Comes To Power: YS Jagan

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy - Sakshi Post

Palasa, Srikakulam: As soon as the YSR Congress party comes to power in the state, 2,30,000 government vacancies would be filled. Addressing a large gathering of people during the course of his electioneering here, party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy gave this assurance and added that 75% of jobs in industries would be given to locals.

The YSRCP supremo remarked that a bill would be passed in the Assembly to this effect. YS Jagan also made it clear that government contracts would be given to the unemployed and that BC, SC, ST and minority groups would be given 50% of such contracts.

There is GST across the country. But in Palasa, I heard of TST or Tax imposed by the Telugu Desam, the AP Leader of Opposition said. YS Jagan referred to the loot being indulged in by the local MLA's son-in-law and the manner in which officials and businessmen are being harassed.

He said that he is aware of the fact that compensation for cyclone Titli victims had not reached those affected by the calamity. He recalled everything that was narrated to him by villagers as he passed through these parts during the course of his mass contact initiative Praja Sankalpa Yatra.

He assured the people of granting compensation of Rs 3000 per coconut tree to cyclone Titli victims and Rs 50,000 per hectare of cashewnut plantations. YS Jagan added that he had seen the miserable plight of victims of kidney disease in the area and had heard many stories of their suffering.

The TDP govt has been apathetic to one of the root causes of kidney disease which is the quality of drinking water.

The YSRCP chief added that not only would the government work on improving the quality of water supplied to villages to make it hygienic and potable but that under Rajanna Rajyam, the government would build a 200-bed hospital and research centre here.

YS Jagan remarked that if one were in a better state today, as compared to yesterday, it would be termed development. The question we need to ask is are we better off in any way today compared to the past? He asked the huge gathering whether farmer's loans had been waived and if zero interest loans had been given.

He sought to know if minimum support price was offered by the government or whether loans of self help groups had been waived. Are women getting interest-free loans, he questioned. Are unemployed youth getting allowance of Rs 2000? he asked.

The YSRCP chief reminded the huge audience that the TDP had promised scrapping belt shops in 2014. He asked them whether these shops disappeared as promised. YS Jagan said that Chandrababu Naidu's governance should be put to scrutiny in the light of the promises he made.

YS Jagan pointed out that when Chandrababu came to power in 2014, there were 42,000 vacancies in the government. Unemployed had been undergoing coaching spending precious money and today, the number of vacancies has risen to over 2 lakhs, he said.

YS Jagan assured the people of the state at the Palasa election meeting that the YSRCP would continue to wage a relentless battle for special category status for the state. He added that SCS to AP alone could render justice to the state.

He also assured the people gathered at the meeting that under Rajanna Rajyam employment notifications would be issued regularly and all the 2,30,000 vacancies be filled. YS Jagan also promised to set up village secretariats across the state comprising ten youth from the village in question.

There would be a volunteer in place for 50 houses in the village, he said. They would be paid an honorarium of Rs 5,000, the YSRCP chief observed adding that every district would have skill development centres in line with industries in the area.

YS Jagan clarified that all these points had been elaborated upon in Navarathnalu on which welfare governance under YSRCP is based.

To bring smiles back on the faces of the people of Andhra Pradesh, Navarathnalu must reach every homes in the state, the YSRCP chief asserted.

YS Jagan pointed out that Chandrababu Naidu had no development to show and little progress to speak of in his five years of rule. Therefore he was coming up with a fresh conspiracy every day, the latest one being murder politics, he said.

The YSRCP supremo also cautioned the people against voter appeasement by the ruling party in the coming days. Chandrababu Naidu will open his moneybags, he predicted and urged the people not to get deceived by the TDP supremo again.

YS Jagan appealed to the people of the constituency to vote for Dr Seedhari Applaraju and for Duvvada Srinivas for the Srikakulam MP Seat.
