KTR Slams Pawan’s Divisive Remarks In Bhimavaram

TRs Working President K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) lashed out at Jana Sena party leader Pawan Kalyan's controversial statement that those hailing from Andhra Pradesh are beaten up in Telangana.

In a video clip which hass gone viral, Pawan tells a large crowd at Bhimavaram that while people of AP fight among themselves on the basis of castes and social groups, in Telangana, they are all clubbed together as Andhras and beaten up.

As per media reports, Pawan also said that the Jana Sena launch in Hyderabad, some people came to the venue with the intention of beating him up, but left the place applauding him.

With cinematic effect, Pawan added that he was not the kind who would take such assault lying down hailing as he did from the region of Alluri Sitharamaraju.

In a sharp response to Pawan's divisive remarks, KTR tweeted "Dear #PawanKalyanGaru, I hope this was a misrepresentation of your thoughts.

As you're aware, Telangana home to people from 29 states who are living harmoniously since formation of the state. I am sure you would agree with me that this sort of rhetoric creates undesirable negativity."

Pawan Kalyan is yet to clarify on his remarks though it would be difficult to put a spin on them now.
