Jolt To TDP In P.Gannavaram

Pulaparthy Narayanamurthy - Sakshi Post

East Godavari: With elections less than three weeks away, TDP was in for yet another jolt in East Godavari district. The ruling party's MLA from P. Gannavaram, Pulaparthy Narayanamurthy resigned from the party primary membership as well as his MLA position. He is likely to join the YSR Congress party at the Pithapuram public meeting to be addressed by party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as part fo his electioneering here.

Thos was revealed by followers of the P.Gannavaram MLA. It is learnt that the TDP MLA was upset with the party leadership allocating the ticket to Nelapudi Stalin and opposed the decision fiercely. TDP district president Namana Rambabu is learned to have attempted to persuade the MLA to stay back in the ruling party in vain. He was told that he would be given the Zilla Parishad chairman post and that chief minister Chandrababu would soon give him an assurance to this effect, but Narayanmurthy is said to have made up his mind to quit the TDP.
