Former CBI JD Lakshminarayana Joins Jana Sena

JD Lakshminarayana joined Jana Sena - Sakshi Post

Vijayawada: For the past few days rumours were afloat that former joint director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), VV Lakshminarayana would join the TDP. It was widely being speculated that the former CBI official would join either the TDP or BJP.

In perhaps an unexpected turn of events Lakshminarayana instead chose to join Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena and was welcomed into the party by the actor turned politician. The founder of Jana Sena also welcomed former vice chancellor Rajagopal Reddy into his party. Speaking to the media later, Pawan Kalyan stated that the former CBI official had wanted to work for Jana Sena from the time it was established. He said that it was not possible earlier and he now felt happy to welcome him into the party.

Former joint director of CBI, Lakshminarayana spoke to the media later and said that Pawan would reveal as to which constituency he was going to contest from, later on Sunday evening. He added that he was ready to contest from anywhere.

Analysts describe the Jana Sena as TDP's B team and say that if the former CBI official had joined the ruling party, his much-talked about affinity to the party chief, discussed in some media circles, would have been exposed. Hence, his relatively low-key entry into the Jana Sena they point out.
