Nellore: Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, the Nellore Rural legislator had been released from the Nellore prison on Monday evening.

The police arrested him on Saturday evening following an altercation with the Circle Inspector at Vedayapalem police station on Thursday night.

The MLA was granted bail along with four of his followers by the Fifth Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Aashirvadam Paul, when a petition was filed before him on Monday. The other four released were Biradavolu Sreekanth Reddy, Chekkasai Suneel, B. Meghanadh Singh and Bodumalla Vishnuvard-han Reddy.

The party Leaders said that Sridhar was on an indefinite fast till he was shifted to the government general hospital on Sunday evening, after his arrest. He took part in a programme where some TD functionaries from the 18th division joined the YSRCP.
