Chittoor: There is serious discontent in the TDP with regard to selection of candidates for assembly. Candidates who staged a protest in front of Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu's camp office, had to return disheartened with the TDP supremo not addressing their problems. Worse, he did not even give them an audience. The TDP leadership insisted that all candidates should work for the party's success in the upcoming elections regardless of being given the ticket. It is learnt that the TDP leadership has finalized the name of Pasam Sunil for the Gudur assembly seat which falls under the Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency. Meanwhile, TDP supremo Chandrababu is yet to take a final call on candidates for Srikalahasti, Sullurpeta, Satyavedu and Tirupati constituencies. Party sources say that Chandrababu would take a final decision after a tour of the district on March 4. Chandrababu Naidu is also learnt to be grappling with the problem arising with two opposing candidates Tirupati MLA Sugunamma and TUDA chairman Narsimha Yadav, with whom the TDP chief held separate discussions.
