SC, BC Minority Leaders In YSRCP - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Several BC, minority leaders from TDP have joined the YSR Congress party on Friday. The leaders from Chittoor and Guntur districts met YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his residence and announced their support. YS Jagan handed all the members the official party Kanduva and inducted them into YSRCP.

Led by former MP PV Mithun Reddy, Chittoor district leaders came in large numbers. AP BC Welfare Commission Core Committee President, TDP leader TG Suresh (Bullet Suresh) and Chittoor TDP president Mapakshi Mohan resigned from the party and joined YSRCP in the presence of YS Jagan.

Along with them, TDP Corporators RB Srikanth, Chandrayya, E Indu, AG Sahadevan, Independent corporators - SK Pushpalatha, P Naveen Kumar also joined YSRCP. Corporator R Rajitha's son David, Corporator N Muttamma's brother Arumugam too quit TDP and joined YSRCP. Gudipala MPP Vice President Velangani's husband Rasanapalli Prakash, Kothapally MPTC Rajamma's son Raja, Chittoor's former municipal chairman S Bhaskaran and many others joined YSRCP.

Speaking to the media, Chittoor leader Bullet Suresh said that YS Jagan's promise to allot Rs 75,000 crores for the BCs in five years with Rs 15,000 crores every year has garnered hope for the BC communities. Mapakshi Mohan said that the positions and welfare schemes are being secured for only one social community in TDP.

The Guntur district Mangalgiri leaders who joined YSRCP said that the BC declaration announced by YS Jagan at the BC Garjana in Eluru recently would benefit the backward classes.

SC leader B Narasimha Rao expressed angst against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for transferring the SC funds to Pasupu-Kumkuma scheme.

Padmasali leaders Udatha Srinivasa Rao, Munagapati Venkateshwar Rao, CPM counselor Vangara Shakuntala, Pedavadlapudi TDP MPTC B Narasimharao, BC Welfare Society President D Srinivasa Rao, TDP leader N Baburao, Islamic Front Convenor, Anjuman Committee former secretary Sheikh Akram, former Counsellor K Lakshman Rao along with other activists joined YSRCP on this occasion.
