If we examine the strength of each party in the Assembly TDP could win 4 seats, YSRCP could win one seat. For each MLC seat the support of at least 29 MLAs is needed and as per the assembly records, YSRCP has 66- seat strength. In this scenario YSRCP could easily win 2 out of 5 seats. It should also be noted that nineteen MLAs and four ministers had won the seats on the YSRCP ticket but defected to the TDP and are continuing in the cabinet and assembly.
