Hyderabad:Leader of the Opposition Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy predicted a hung parliament in the coming Lok Sabha elections at the centre, quoting the surveys. He clarified that YSRCP is not going to forge an alliance with any party and will only support the party which is going to grant Andhra Pradesh Special Category Status (SCS).

Later, YS Jagan elaborated on the policies which will be implemented once the YSRCP comes to power. He expressed his opinion that if hung parliament is seen at the Centre, it will be beneficial to AP. YS Jagan exuded confidence that YSRCP will win 25 Lok Sabha constituencies and can pressurize the central government for SCS.

Railway zone in Visakhapatnam:

YS Jagan observed that he is fully aware of the issue of railway zone. He stated, almost every state in India has a railway zone and Visakhapatnam should also be granted one according to the bifurcation Act. YS Jagan reiterated that YSRCP will fight for SCS, railway zone, and the Kadapa Steel plant.

Rs 2000 for every household with a handloom:

YS Jagan remarked that people are not in a position to trust Chandrababu, even if he copied the policies announced by YSRCP. Every household with a handloom will be given Rs 2000 per month under Rajanna Rajyam. Subsidy will be provided in electricity bills if the household possesses a power-loom.

The YSRCP chief said that every Parliamentary constituency will be made into a district, and a corporation will be developed for every community. He remarked that the YSRCP is committed to completing all the projects started under the late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s term, as soon as possible.

Financial Support :

The Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly added that by YSR cheyuta women aged over 45 will be given financial support by sanctioning Rs 75,000 to them in the four years.

YS Jagan explained the concept of village secretariats and remarked that in every village, 10 youth will be employed as village secretaries, and will deliver the government schemes to people, for every fifty families. The person appointed will be paid Rs 5000 as salary. YS Jagan announced that the government scheme will be implemented within 72 hours after the application is filed.

Guaranteed Local Employment:

YS Jagan lambasted Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu stating that he had given all the government contracts, including the temple contracts, to his benamis .

The YSRCP chief observed that Chandrababu is taking credit for the KIA motors deal, but in reality, not even 5% of the jobs are given to the locals. He assured that once YSRCP is in power in the first session of the Assembly, a bill will be passed reserving 75% of the jobs for locals. In the same way job notifications will be released according to the job calendar, he added.

Rs 12,500 every month:

Referring to the YSR Rythu Bharosa, YS Jagan said that under this scheme 85,00,000 farmers will be given Rs 12,500 every year in the month of May.

He was reminded of the former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s reign stating that he used to call the officials personally regarding the implementation of the schemes. The implementation of schemes depends upon the efforts put in by the CM. "When the efforts are put in, people will remember you, if you don’t then you will be denied a place in history," YS Jagan remarked.
