Anantapur: YSR Congress leader and former MP Anantha Venkatrami Reddy said Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan toured in the district with an aim to split the anti-government votes. Questioning the actor-politician on his responsibility over the promises made by Chandrababu Naidu in 2014, he said that Pawan Kalyan was a partner of the BJP-TDP alliance.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the YSRCP leader slammed Pawan Kalyan on various issues. Recalling Leader of Opposition in AP Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's 'Rythu Bharosa Yatra' for farmer issues, he said that the Janasena leader arranged for the 'Kavathu' in the district only to criticize the YSRCP Chief.

"Why is it that Pawan is not questioning Chandrababu for farmer suicides and migration from the State? Why did he not support the YSRCP's cause for fight against TDP's purchase of 23 YSRCP MLAs? He is a paid artist in politics, an agent of Chandrababu," he said.

The YSRCP leader further said Pawan Kalyan does not have a political ideology and that he only acts in movies and politics for money.
