Tanuku: Rubbishing the claims of Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s reported comments on Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his quixotic alliance with Chandrababu Naidu who has been providing the script to the national party for his personal and political gains, YSR Congress has said that the coming together of the TDP and Congress has been the most bizarre and immoral alliance in the polity of the country.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday party MLA RK Roja said, ‘Rahul Gandhi stating that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is in the hands of Narendra Modi only shows the opportunism of Chandrababu Naidu who has been providing the script to the senior partner, whom he had severely criticised in past.
After losing the face and sheen following the failure to keep up the promises and failing all sections of people, Chandrababu Naidu desperately needs a national leader and it is a shameful act on his part to join hands with Congress as NTR has founded the party on anti-Congress plank.
Chandrababu Naidu on his part had very recently rebuked Rahul Gandhi and the policies of Congress but now the duo has been roaming about hand in hand and each complimenting the other. ‘Rahul Gandhi’s reported comments on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy are not in good taste as our leader has always been in favour of SCS and other issues mentioned in the State Reorganisation Act while Chandrababu Naidu has been twisting his stand and his tongue to suit his personal and political advantage, she said.
By taking Chandrababu Naidu into its fold, Congress party should own up the corruption charges of the chief minister and his unethical practice of buying MLAs and giving cabinet berths to four of them and the various other atrocities committed by his cabinet ministers and government against women, dalits and weaker sections.
While the UPA was neck deep in corruption with numerous scandals coming out one after the other in quick succession, it is improbable on part of Congress President to speak about corruption charges on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Chandrababu’s partner Revanth Reddy, who is accused in the cash for vote case has taken refuge in the Congress camp paving way for the alliance.
‘Our leader was never in power and the cases were jointly filed by Congress and TDP leaders and he has been bolding fighting back. Chandrababu Naidu has gone to the extent of engineering an attempt on our leader’s life at Vizag airport as he was upset by the soaring popularity of the Leader of Opposition. ’ she said.
