The YSR Congress party (YSRCP) announced its complete support to the protests and 'Chalo Assembly' programs announced by the DWCRA Village Administrative Officers (VAO) across the State starting tomorrow. Calling on the party leaders and workers to actively participate in the protests, the YSRCP said it would stand by them in the protests, condemning Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's attitude in fulfilling his promises made to the VAOs.

In a press release, the party said Chandrababu Naidu issued a GO providing Rs 3,000 towards service charges to the VAOs after promising to deliver on their right to get salaries. The GO did not have a mention of the promotions, life insurance, Identity cards among other issues as promised earlier, it said.

On July 15 this year, when the VAOs urged Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to do justice on the matter, the mass leader promised to provide Rs 10,000 towards salaries after the YSRCP comes to power in the upcoming elections. Tomorrow, the VAOs will lead protests across the State in district headquarters.
