Amaravati: In view of the upcoming Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, the State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders met party national president Amit Shah in New Delhi today. In an hour-long core committee meeting, the discussion centred over the upcoming Assembly elections and the Lok Sabha elections.

The BJP national president directed the leaders to get ready for facing the polls independently similar to that of Telangana. It is learnt that the BJP's focus would mainly be on the Lok Sabha polls. Speaking to media after the meeting, BJP election campaign committee chairman Somu Veerraju said that CM Chandrababu Naidu was obsessed with making comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Chandrababu is obsessed with claiming to be more experienced than PM Modi. He has to learn about the Gujarat model. Chandrababu's stature is nowhere near that of the Prime Minister. No government would be able to get ahead without the support of the BJP. We will ensure Chandrababu's party is confined to just 30 seats," he added.
