Hold your Tongue: Anantapur Police To JC Diwakar Reddy

JC Diwakar Reddy, Police Officer - Sakshi Post

Reacting to Anantapur TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy's abusive comments on the police force, representatives of the Police Officer's Association, threatened to cut his tongue if he resorts to such unparliamentary language. They reminded him that policemen work round the clock for the upkeep of law and order and will not tolerate any such remarks which seek to belittle them.

Addressing mediamen at the office of the Anantapur police officer's association, district president Triloknath and General secretary Gorantla Madhav said that lately politicians often tended to cross the line while speaking which cause them great anguish. They said that so far they had exercised restraint in such matter but they would not do so anymore. If politicians think that they could score brownie points by speaking against policemen, they would not take it lying down, they warned. Further they said that the comments made by some of these leaders were so derisive that policemen lost their respect in the eyes of their families. Referring to JC Diwakar Reddy's remark describing policemen as eunuchs, the association members asserted that they joined the police force because they were "men".
