Chandrababu-BJP Collusion, An Open Secret: Ambati

YSRCP senior leader Ambati Rambabu - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: YSR Congress Party senior leader Ambati Rambabu said that TDP had struck a secret pact with BJP. Speaking to media here today, he said as part of the secret pact, the TDP government has appointed BJP minister's wife Swapna as a TTD Board member. Similarly they had even appointed Parakala Prabhakar, as Advisor.

Amabati said after Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu took over the reins of TDP, except for 2009, the party has contested elections with BJP as alliance partner. The irony was that whenever the TDP chief said they would not partner with BJP, the TDP would definitely go with BJP. He said only after YSRCP MPs issued no-confidence motion against the Central government and quit in protest, did Chandrababu come out of NDA and started blaming the BJP saying it had cheated the state.

The YSRCP senior leader said that just to strike an alliance between the old partners - TDP and BJP - a local daily editor met Amit Shah for more than an hour, during the BJP national president's visit to Hyderabad yesterday. Even Chandrababu hinted during Gadkari's recent visit to AP that they had no problem with BJP if they fulfilled all the promises. But unfortunately he was trying portray that YSRCP was in alliance with BJP, he observed.

Amabati pointed out that Chandrababu was conveniently oscillating between BJP and Congress. He was surprised that both TDP and BJP had challenged that they would bring out the corruption of each other within a month, but were not doing it. The AP CM was waiting to strike an alliance with BJP, he remarked.

He further said that despite having made 29 trips to New Delhi, why didn't he hold press conference after every meeting. Even as he was complaining against BJP, he was desperate for BJP alliance. He said that the protests programme held by AP CM never was a real protest. He pointed out that TDP MPs, during the last Parliamentary session, diverted the attention of the people by sporting comic get ups and staging a farce every day. If TDP and Congress, the two rivals, join hands for next elections, it would be of advantage to YSRCP, he added.
