Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh BJP president Kanna Lashminarayana lambasted Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu saying the AP CM is often known to cheat those who help him. Speaking to media here today, he came down heavily on Chandrababu's attitude saying he had won last elections with the help of BJP's Modiwave and Pawan Kalyan.
After having been in an alliance with NDA for four plus years, the TDP chief is now criticising the Central government, Kanna observed. He said Chandrababu was not interested in establishing Kadapa steel plant as well as Dugarajapatnam port and that was the reason he had not yet submitted feasibility reports of the project to the Central government, he added. Moreover, the AP CM is using the steel plant issue for political gains, he said.
Kanna said if Chandrababu was serious about Kadapa steel plant, he would have submitted a viability report focusing on rehabilitation of displaced people, if the project were to begin. Although the state had submitted a report saying the project was not feasible, the Centre was determined to develop Rayalaseema and had decided to establish the steel plant, he informed the media.
The BJP leader said that TDP was trying to gain mileage from every issue by politicising it. TDP need not add any issue in the 2019 manifesto as the earlier ones remain unresolved, he said. TDP's new manifesto would be used only to accuse the Central government, he pointed out.
