Pileru: Rajampet YSR Congress Party MP Midhun Reddy recalled that it was former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy who had accommodated reservations for Muslim community in the state. Speaking to media here today after touring Valmikipuram in Pileru constituency of Chittoor district, he said that Dr YSR had offered four per cent reservation for the Muslim minority community.
The YSRCP MP said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had been an obstacle when it came to the reservations for Muslims. The TDP Chief has been trying to distance minorities from YSRCP. This was the reason Chandrababu was falsely propagating that YSRCP had colluded with BJP, he said, adding, "Our party will not ally with BJP under any circumstances."
Over 100 families quit TDP and joined YSRCP in the presence of MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy.
