Amaravati: Manikyala Rao, who has submitted his resignation from Chandrababu ministry in Andhra Pradesh and BJP leader, today mentioned that it was BJP's Venkaiah Naidu who first spoke about Special Category Status (SCS) for the state in Rajya Sabha and "Chandrbabu never uttered a single word during that occasion."
He accused that there was sustained campaign run by the TDP to blame BJP and inform the people that it was because of BJP that SCS was not happening. Manikyala Rao once again stressed that only after bifurcation the state has prospered.
He informed that since TDP ministers are quitting from central government cabinet, they have submitted their resignations. He said SCS equivalent special package has been evolved by BJP for the state's benefit. The BJP leader said that PM Modi will always support the state in its developmental activities. He said that he would continue to strive for the development of his constituency and would also demanded for establishing a medical college in Tadepalligudem.
The other BJP minister who quit Chandrababu government, Kamineni Srinivas also expressed the similar views and said just because the ruling TDP government was trying to blame the BJP, he had resigned.
Both the BJP ministers resigned today and submitted their resignations before the start of state budget session in the Assembly.
