The ruling TRS has made significant changes to its organisational structure. In a major organisational move, the party president will have a four-year tenure instead of the present two-year tenure.

Similarly, the district committees have been disbanded and only assembly committee level committees will be operational. They too will have a four year term. Earlier, TRS election officer and home minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy has announced that KCR has been elected unanimously as prty president for the eigth time in a row. The party has also passed seven resolutions on subjects like welfare, BC, MBC development, special plan for SCs andSTs, bouble bedroom hours, Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhageeratha and irrigation sector.

KCR also showered sops on the farmers. He said the Government would provide Rs 4000 per acre to the farmers to purchase fertilisers. He said this would be done for two crops - once in May and then in October. He said the amount would be directly transferred into their accounts.

KCR also warned the opposition not to make unsubstantiated allegations. He said cases would be filed against those making wild allegations. He called upon the people to make the April 27 public meeting in Warangal a huge success.
