Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes can attend free coaching for examinations to police posts at Pre-Examination Centres in Hyderabad, Bhadrachalam, Warangal and Utnoor from July 2.

The coaching will be provided only for candidates who are applying for Police SI, constable and RPF constable jobs. The Tribal Welfare Department is offering free training for aspiring candidates. It may be recalled that the Telangana government had released a notification inviting applications for various vacant posts in the state police department.

The selection procedure of candidates for coaching will be based on their merit in SSC and those whose family's annual income is below Rs 1.5 lakh in rural areas and Rs 2 lakh in urban areas. It is also learnt that the Tribal Welfare Department has allotted 100 seats for the candidates in which 75 seats for STs, 15 for SCs and 10 for BCs. Of those, 33.33 per cent seats are reserved for women.
