In major breakthrough for space research in India, a group of scientists from Physical Research Laboratory in Ahmedabad have discovered a sub-Saturn or super-Neptune size planet around a sun-like star. According to a statement released by Indian Space Research Organization on Thursday, the discovery was made with the help of indigenously made ‘PRL Advance Radial-velocity Abu-Sky Search’ spectrograph and telescope at the Gurushikar Observatory on Mount Abu in Rajasthan. The new planet is about 600 light years away from Earth with surface temperature of around 600 degrees Celsius.
