Visakhapatnam: YSR Congress Party MP Vijaysai Reddy observed that the people are angry and unhappy with TDP government and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's rule in the state. Vijaysai Reddy was on Sangheebhava Yatra, a walkathon in Visakhapatnam to express his solidarity with their party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's Praja Sankalpa Yatra.
The YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP said that people were voluntarily coming forwards to express their woes while he was on padayatra in Vizag city. He said people were angry against the TDP leaders who were involved in atrocities against women and also against the government for its inefficient way of tackling people's problems. In fours years of rule, the TDP was involved in Rs 3 lakh crores of corruption, he accused.
Vijaysai Reddy said that after being with BJP for last four years, Chandrababu was now campaigning that YSRCP was in alliance with BJP. "The shift in stance was because he understood that people were against BJP." He went on to say that TDP did not keep the promises it made during the last elections. Chandrababu as well as his son, Lokesh were more focused on personal benefits.
He pointed out that the YSRCP Chief had cleared the air on alliance and had said that YSRCP did not have a deal with any party in the state. "Our philosophy is simple— we will go with the party which does good to the state. Whoever gives Special Category Status to AP—we will work with them," Vijaysai Reddy clarified. He criticised the TDP's call for Dharma Poratam protest on May 22 in Visakhapatnam and said the protest was to cover up his misdeeds and mislead the people.
